Navigating a long-term care policy can be daunting, especially when the need for financial assistance to help cope with a new or worsening condition arises with little warning. The policy could have been in place for years and what was known about it initially has been forgotten with the passage of time. Or, loved ones who weren’t familiar with the policy are now struggling to understand.

Happy Birthday to Bob Jenkins, our oldest resident! Bob, who lives at Heather Glen, turned 108 on July 30. Born in 1912 on a farm in Iowa, Bob grew up in Boone County, Iowa, and is a proud 1934 graduate of Iowa State with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had a career in manufacturing and marketing, which took him throughout the northeast and Midwest and finally to Florida, where he retired. He and his wife, Helen, raised a son and a daughter together and traveled extensively after he retired.
